On July 1st 2007, England introduced a new law to make virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces in England smokefree. A smokefree England ensures a healthier environment, so everyone can socialise, relax, travel, shop and work free from second hand smoke.
Coventry City Council and Smoke Free Coventry are here to support and advise local bussinesses, workplaces and members of the public on the new law. A toolkit has been produced to help businesses gain a full understanding of the new legislation, how it will affect them and what they will need to do to comply.
